LYRASIS Learning: Project Management Fundamentals for GLAM Institutions

Come learn all about the fundamentals of project management, how to apply the theories, and tools that can be applied in GLAM institutions. Topics covered will include:

  • Basic stages of a project’s lifecycle and considerations for the beginning a project
  • Project management styles
  • Applying documentation
  • Project communication

The course will be instructed by Robin Pike, Manager of Digital Conversion & Media Reformatting at the University of Maryland. She will provide examples of tools that can assist with managing single or multiple projects and discuss the application of these tools at an institution. The course will conclude by discussing the application of documentation, tools, and other considerations for a few examples of projects including digitization, service development, and archival description.
